Soap & Glory Hand Food Cream (Review)

Jan 29, 2013

Let's be realistic: I have NEVER EVER met a woman who does not complain about dry hands (or chapped lips for that matter). Ever. So here is how it goes: Our hands go through a whole lot of trouble all day long - doing the dishes, general cleaning, writing, cooking, dusting, driving, working out, typing etc. If you think about it, we do everything with our hands... Not to mention the cold in winter or the harsh sun in summer they are exposed to. Also, each time we wash them (which should be quiet often during the day) we actually remove moisture from the upper layers of the skin (not to think of all the chemicals inside the washing lotions - especially the antiseptic ones, as if us humans do not have an over millions of years of  evolution almost perfect complex adjusted immune system, but anyways - ). So yes, if you do not use a hand cream, the skin of your hands can pretty much become dehydrated, look older than it is, all these pretty things, you know?

So if you do care even just a tad about the appearance and the health of your hand's skin, do no longer neglect it and start using a hand cream, please, will ya? I know I have been using one since....well, since I can remember. I have tried them all, more or less. Since I can remember myself carrying a handbag (I do not count the "hello Kitty" ones in), a tube of hand cream was always my steady companion, right next to the mints and handkerchiefs (yes, I am the handkerchiefs girl, the one who all of her friends know she has always a pack with her). I tried them all: the cheap, the expensive, the high-end, the pharmaceutical hand creams.

But now this hand cream from Soap & Glory, called Hand Food, recommended by all the famous beauty gurus on YouTube, has become my favourite. I think it is the best (or at least one of the best) I have ever tried! It really absorbs almost instantly, so no greasy fingerprints or sticky hands. It smells delish and hydrates the skin in a minute. Not only the skin but also the nails feel and look much more hydrated, they are soft and supple. I highly recommend it, it's a bit on the pricey side, so for the 125ml you pay 10€ here in Germany, but in the States or UK it is surely cheaper. Have you tried any of the Soap & Glory products yet? Any other recommendations?

Yes, the cold weather makes my hands actually hurt, I hate that. But, I have my cream, don't know the name, but I know it's from Sweden.

That sounds fantastic. I'm always looking for a great foot cream. I'm definitely going to look this up. (I feel like I really have to add that I've never had chapped lips in my life and I hope it never happens!)
